Jack Sawyer convinced many of his senior teammates to return to Ohio State for a chance to win a title. His unforgettable scoop-and-score TD propelled the Buckeyes to a win over Texas and one step closer to that goal.

The 1970s Bucs were awful, kind of like the first half of Friday’s game. Both Ohio State and Texas put a capital C on Clunky, as the teams combined for 14 penalties (OSU had nine for 75 yards), multiple dropped passes, poor quarterback throws, missed tackles and sloppy overall … execution.

Sawyer's passion for the Buckeyes is unmatched, and his 83-yard fumble return touchdown to beat Texas will live forever in Ohio State lore.
