After killing at least five people, the Palisades Fire continued to burn east toward the 405 Freeway and San Fernando Valley, prompting more evacuation orders and warnings in Brentwood and Encino.The Getty Center,

Evacuation warnings were issued for the following two areas: Sunset Boulevard to the south, Mullholland Drive to the north, Bellagio Road/Roscomare Road to the east and the 405 Freeway to the west; and Mulholland/Sepulveda Boulevard to the south, the 405 Freeway to the east, Ventura Boulevard to the north and Louise Avenue to the west.

An epic aerial assault was underway Saturday as a fleet of aircraft worked to prevent the Palisades fire from hitting homes in Brentwood and Encino. A shift in winds late Friday sent the fire north and east through the Santa Monica Mountains,

The massive Palisades fire has destroyed an estimated 75% of the Pacific Palisades and officials say the 1/3rd of the eastern edge of Malibu has also been destroyed. The fire is now threatening the nearby communities of Brentwood and Encino.
